How it works

  1. Read what changed

Start with the newsroom. Every story links an official source and carries its real date, so you know what applies and since when.

  2. See how it affects your market

Our province pages show the regulators, programs and construction signals in each region, and our services show how a plumbing company can turn that into search visibility and calls.

  3. Talk it through

Tell us your service area, your average job values and where your calls come from now. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Plumber.News does two jobs for Canadian plumbing companies. It reports the changes that affect the trade, such as a new national plumbing code, a provincial code transition, a city's lead pipe program or the latest construction figures, with a link to the source and the source's real date. And it helps plumbing owners use that knowledge in their marketing, so the company that understands a change is also the one homeowners find when they search for it.

What's in the newsroom right now

The short answer: eight verified stories, each ending with what it means for a plumbing business.

The newsroom explains how we choose and verify stories.

Why news and marketing belong together for plumbers

Plumbing demand arrives in two shapes. Some of it is urgent, a burst pipe or a backed-up drain, and goes to whoever answers first. The rest is triggered by information: a letter from the city about lead services, a news report about a code change, a water heater rebate, a renovation that needs a permit.

The second kind is where most plumbing websites have nothing to say. A homeowner who has just read about a lead service program searches for what to do next and finds national news sites or the city's own page, with no local plumber in sight. A plumbing company with one clear, dated, sourced page on the subject can be the next click.

That is the idea behind this site: report accurately, then help plumbing companies publish the useful local version.

What we do for plumbing companies

We are a marketing and business consulting service. We plan and run the parts of a plumbing company's marketing that produce calls, texts and quote requests. We are not a contractor; we never install, repair or service anything.

The services overview explains which to start with.

A two-minute check on your marketing maths

Before spending more on marketing, run one calculation. Say your average drain or repair call is worth $450 at a 50% gross margin, so $225 of gross profit, and you book 60% of the calls you answer. If a call from ads costs $45, each booked job costs $75 in marketing ($45 ÷ 0.6). That leaves $150 of the $225, which most owners can live with.

Now suppose the office misses a quarter of calls during busy mornings. You pay for the click either way, so the cost of each booked job climbs to $100 ($45 ÷ 0.45). The ads didn't change; the phone did. That is why we look at call handling and hours before ad budgets, and why we pair this site with plumber.chat for owners who lose calls while their crews are on the tools.

Proof, presented honestly

Our published results come from HVAC and heating companies, where the method was built. We show them as results from our HVAC work, not as plumbing results. Roma Heating & Cooling saw 400% organic traffic growth in 12 months. For HeatLand, 850+ SEO articles went hand in hand with a 300% lead increase in 6 months, which is the clearest example of content-led growth in our portfolio. BCWide.ca reached 3× leads in 90 days.

What carries over to plumbing is the method: a page for each job you want more of, a fully built Google Business Profile, tracked calls, prompt review requests and content that answers real questions. The results page explains what each case shows and what doesn't transfer.

Coverage in every province and territory

Plumbing is regulated provincially and often municipally, so the same national story lands differently in Kelowna, Saskatoon and Moncton. Our coverage hub has a page for each province and one for the three territories, with the code and safety authorities, apprenticeship bodies, energy programs relevant to plumbing and the latest permit figures, as of October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

What is Plumber.News?

Plumber.News is a Canadian newsroom and marketing service for plumbing companies. The newsroom belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, works from its Vancouver, BC headquarters and answers to Ali Sedighi, MBA.

Are you a plumbing company?

No. We are not a contractor and we never install, repair or service plumbing. We report on the plumbing trade and provide marketing and business consulting to plumbing companies.

Where do your news stories come from?

From primary public sources we load ourselves: the National Research Council, provincial ministries, apprenticeship authorities, Statistics Canada, municipal utilities and the Competition Bureau. Each story links the source and uses its real date.

How much does your marketing cost?

A plumbing company can start on the Growth plan at $1,999 a month, which drops to $1,499 a month if billed annually; Canadian clients add GST/HST by province. You can cancel any plan on 30 days' notice, and an eligible trades business pays nothing for its first 30-minute consultation.

Can you promise more calls?

No one honestly can. We can show the maths behind a plan, results from our HVAC work, and exactly what we will measure each month so you can judge it yourself.

Do you work with plumbers outside BC?

Yes. We work with plumbing companies in every province and territory. Each coverage page lists the local regulators, programs and market signals.
